Women Through the Lens
Film screenings, exhibits and cultural dialogue

Stories that inspire. Voices that matter. Perspectives that bring us together.
Women Through the Lens is an international film screening and cultural dialogue initiative presented as part of Global Women’s Week.
The initiative aims to bring women’s stories to audiences through cinema, documentary filmmaking and visual storytelling. By showcasing films that explore women’s lives, achievements, challenges, creativity, leadership and contributions to society, the project seeks to create meaningful conversations across cultures and communities.
What the program may feature
- Short films
- Documentaries
- Interviews with women filmmakers
- Post-screening discussions with artists, filmmakers, academics and community leaders
Host a screening or discussion
We welcome collaboration with cultural institutions, universities, public libraries, independent cinemas, galleries, community organizations and other venues interested in hosting a screening or discussion program.
Participating hosts may contribute by providing a screening venue, organizing a community event, facilitating a discussion, or helping connect the program with local audiences.
Our vision
To make women’s stories more visible, encourage cultural understanding, and create opportunities for women’s voices and creative work to reach wider audiences.
We invite organizations and cultural partners to join us in bringing Women Through the Lens to communities around the world as part of Global Women’s Week, March 1–8, 2027.
